Tech: Issue, Pushing on Entry...

Selected some of the easy ways to cure an ill handling kart at the race track.

Issue:
Pushes on Entry-Under-steer-Too much rear end grip
Quick Fix:
Decrease right front air pressure
Increase right rear air pressure
Increase right rear stagger
Decrease right front stagger
Increase left side weight
Decrease cross weight
Decrease rear weight percentage
Increase front weight
Move right rear out
Move left front wheel out
Increase right front caster
Add more positive camber to the left front
Check toe
Move seat forward

*****all ways check your front end (caster, camber, toe) These things all ways tend to move around here and there. You don't want to do anything drastic when it could be something simple, such as your front end. Contact your chassis manufacture for a base line setup.

Tires

Hearing a spec tire that requires little prep when you get into racing makes it sound affordable. Now don't get me wrong this is still very affordable and I'm running pretty good all things considered (qualified 3rd last race) but if I just had three more set of new tires for my kart I know I'd be up front, Just because I know now what to do with these tires to make them stick. I don't know everything, but I know a lot more I did last year. There is some little things we will be trying with the chassis this next race and I can't wait. This is still a rookie season for both of us. I'm hoping that next season I'll have a better source of income...Speed=MONEY!! The EL tires have gone up a bit than last year.

Leave it to my luck that as soon as I get back into racing it rains every Saturday. I was going to go to Tri-state in NC but of course rain put that on hold...Makes me depressed. Forecast for next Saturday? 50% chance of rain...FML. I can't get enough of this dirt racing, Anyone remember how on the Nintendo games there was a restart button you just pressed and you got to play another game? That's how I feel when I load up and head home...I wish it was that easy, instead of waiting on weeks for the weather to give me the OK...
